About Department
The Department of
Chemistry at Holy Cross College, Agartala, was established in the academic year
2025, marking its inception under the progressive framework of the National
Education Policy (NEP) 2020 curriculum. With an initial intake capacity of 20
students, the department is dedicated to providing a foundational yet
comprehensive education in chemical sciences.
Our academic
offerings are designed to foster a deep understanding of core chemical
principles, coupled with a strong emphasis on practical application and
interdisciplinary engagement. The department proudly offers a diverse range of
courses including Major, Minor, and Interdisciplinary options, empowering
students to tailor their learning paths and explore the vast applications of
chemistry in various fields. Through a curriculum that balances theoretical
